I'm Nalla, and I'm so happy you stopped by to find out more about me! I'm a beautiful 3-year old, 55-pound brindle Pit Bull mix. I came to the SPCA of Texas on March 3 because the other pets in the home and I didn't get along too well. But my previous owner wanted you to know that I'm loving and sweet. I'm a bit shy right now since I'm in the shelter environment, and I'm a little confused as to why I'm here. But I do warm up quickly to people. Volunteers have noted that I am very affectionate, and I love being petted. If you stop petting me, I will nudge your hand and arm with my head in order to ask you to continue petting me. As is typical of most dogs, I certainly love treats, and I am very gentle when I take them from your hand. I also seem to know how to shake. If you come visit me, I will be happy to show you! It's possible I also know sit, come, down and fetch, but might need you to remind me what those mean. I love booty scratches and giving lots of kisses, and my booty is always wiggling! I'm just an all-around happy girl. I can be a little protective of my humans around strangers (human and animal), so it might be best if I'm the only pet in the household. However, I do have some canine friends, so if you have a dog at home right now, you can bring him or her to the shelter for a meet and greet with me and we can see how it goes. In my previous home, I got along well with children over 10. I am heartworm positive, but the good news is that my treatment has been paid for by generous donors and is FREE for you. All I'll need you to do is take me to my appointment at a local VCA Animal Hospital and give me a nice place to rest while the medicine kills the heartworms. I've been spayed, microchipped and have received all age-appropriate vaccinations. I really hope to meet you in person soon! Love, Nalla
