Size: Medium
Location: Foster
ABOUT ME: January is always in season and a great companion year-round! January is a petite girl, weighing only about 30 pounds who would love to a find her forever family. You may not notice at first, but January is a tripod and blind in one eye due to some old trauma. January had a rough start in life and is on the shy side. However, with time and care she has learned to trust and has really blossomed. She has spent time in a foster home and was reported to be house trained and enjoyed spending time in the backyard - running zoomies and rolling in the grass. She's a quiet dog who almost never barked and was an easy going house guest. Once she settles in, she also relishes her belly rubs and lounging on the couch and now gets really excited for short walks in her foster's neighborhood.

IDEAL HOME: She would do best in a calm and quiet home. She needs a family that will give her time to warm up to them and her new environment. Since January is easily startled by loud noises and prefers a familiar environment, she will need a single family home with a securely fenced yard. She's working on leash walking, but prefers to stick close to home.

KIDS: Children must be 13 and older. January got along well with the teenager in her foster home, who was very gentle and patient with her. Please bring all members of the household to meet January!

DOGS: January enjoys playing with other dogs and would possibly benefit from being in a home with another calm, confident dog to show her the ropes. Please bring dogs in the home to meet her to make sure it's a good match!
