Name: Faith
ID: 41412269
Breed: American Blue Heeler / Mix
Gender: Spayed Female
Age: 8 years 9 months
Size: Large
Location: Awaiting Foster
FOSTER TYPE: Healing and Comfort

FOSTER REASON: I was recently hospitalized due to unmanaged diabetes. Though I am doing so much better now, I need a foster to keep an eye out on my for symptoms! The humans at the shelter can't watch me often enough to know if I am symptomatic or not, so I will need an observant eye to let my doctors know how I do in a home environment. I do take insulin twice daily, so you will need to be comfortable giving me a small injection everyday. Don't worry, it is very easy to give and my friends at the SPCA will show you the ropes!

ABOUT ME: Hi, I'm Faith - the sweetest senior pup you'll ever meet! I was recently surrendered due to no fault of my own. After hanging out at the shelter, it was discovered that I had unmanaged diabetes. After being hospitalized, I am feeling SO much better now! I am ready to show you what a sweet girl I am if you'll give me a chance!

MEDICAL SCHEDULE: I will need to come back to the shelter as needed for recheck visits. I am next due on 10/22 for a recheck to see how I am doing.

DREAM HOME: I'm looking for a home where my family is home pretty often - I want someone to be a couch potato with me! I have shown some signs of separation anxiety in my distant past, but don't worry, the SPCA will give you lots of tips on how we can best manage any potential anxiety.

TESTIMONIAL: An old friend of mine says that I'm house trained and great with dogs, cats, and kiddos! I just love being loved on, and have the sweetest nature.

The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future.
