Otti
Name: Otti
ID: 42484294
Breed: Terrier, Pit Bull / Mix
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: 12 years 1 month
Size: Medium
Location: Awaiting Foster
About Me: My name is Otti, and boy am I sweet. If you are looking for couch buddy then I am your man. I was adopted from the SPCA in 2019 but sadly returned this year due to no fault of my own. I am an older guy that really likes to take naps and watch the birds out the window.

Foster Reason: I have hindlimb osteoarthritis and likely a neurologic issue causing mobility problems. Because of this I am a fospice pup. So you get to love me for the rest of my life, while the SPCA of Texas handles all of my medical needs. I have trouble walking at times, and my mobility is not the best.

Foster Home: My ideal home would be a house with a yard or an apartment with little to no stairs. Lots of stairs would be difficult for me, but a few may be possible. I will also need a home where my fospice parents can monitor my mobility and any decrease or difficulty in moving. I am on daily medication, so someone who is comfortable giving them to me is needed.

Medical Schedule: I will likely have weekly or Biweekly appointments at a specialty clinic where I will receive laser therapy and acupuncture. So a family that can take my to these appointments would be a plus.

Special Note: Otti is a Fospice pup- that means you get to love him for the rest of his life while he remains a part of our foster program! The SPCA of Texas will provide all of his supplies, medication, care and behavioral support! It is also an option to foster him temporarily until a forever Fospice can be found.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
