ABOUT ME: Amidala, affectionately known as Ami, is yet another member of the A group, who arrived in our care in late February 2020. This little lady loves toys, and will hold them in her mouth life a pacifier- she does this with blankets too! Ami loves other dogs and is at her most confident when she is with them. Ami is easily startled, so she is looking for a calm, quiet household. She does have some mild issue with resource guarding.

IDEAL HOME: A calm, quiet household with a foster who can keep her long term. Her home will need to have another dog, as well as a securely fenced yard. Ami's household should be adults only, though we'll consider homes with older teens on a case by case basis. Amidala will need to be crated for transport.

SPECIAL NOTE: While I am not yet cleared for adoption, I am eligible for foster-to-adopt!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
