ABOUT ME: Hello, I'm Shyanne! While I can be a shy girl like my name implies, I'm actually a super sweet, laid back, and lovable old lady that would love to join your pack! I've LOVED my time in my foster home, and have proven to be a perfect guest - house trained, gentle, and I get along with my foster siblings - we've even started to play!

I came to SPCA of Texas in February of 2020 with 150 other dogs. We all came in very shy and under socialized, but I have been working with my foster family to gain confidence and have come such a long way! I was very timid at first, but was easily bribed with treats. I love lounging in the grass and chewing on bones, but my favorite time of day is meal time - I'm ALL tail wags after a yummy dish. I've become my foster mom's little shadow, finding a comfy spot to snooze wherever she is, so hopefully you'll enjoy my constant companionship too.

MY DREAM HOME: Because of my past, walks and loud noises can be scary for me, so I would do best in a calm home with a securely fenced in backyard. I'd love to have at least one female human in the home - I'm besties with my foster mom!

DOGS: I'd love a calm, friendly doggy sibling to help with my confidence.

CATS: I've lived with cats in a previous home and we co-existed and ignored each other.

KIDS: I may do best in an adults only home, but I might be able to have a baby sibling I can grow to be friends with. Please bring the whole family to meet me!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future.
