ABOUT ME: I came to the SPCA of Texas after being mistreated. When I arrived, I had no idea that I had found a safe place- I was scared of people and didn't want them to come into my kennel. The staff described me as very depressed and it took me a bit of time to recover. Thankfully, the staff didn't give up on my and I have gained so much confidence since then!

FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: "Art's a cutie! He looks adorable when he's napping rolled up in a ball. He has a great smile when he's happy."

LIKES: Going outside! I love when the staff takes me to the play yard so that I can play with my big, red ball. My ball is my favorite toy of all time. I also really love Pupperoni treats!

DREAM HOME: Due to my past, I still have my timid moments and would like a home with a private backyard where I can have some off leash "me time".

MY ADOPTER: Will be patient, loving, and kind. They'll give me all the love I was previously deprived of and work with me on my basic obedience training as I can occasionally be jumpy/mouthy when I'm excited. They will spend lots of time playing with me and give me lots of opportunities for exercise!

DOGS/CATS: I'm a masterpiece so you only need one! My home should have no other animals.

KIDS: No thank you- I will need an adults only household.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future.
