ABOUT ME: I'm Bashful - it's both my name and describes my sweet, shy personality! I came from a cruelty case last year, and I'm still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. Are you the loving family I've been looking for? Please bring everyone in the household to meet me.

HOME: I'd absolutely love a calm, quiet household with a yard that has at least 6-foot fencing. I'm still working on my leash walking, so I think this would be the paw-fect set-up to work on my doggy basics!

DOGS: Yes! I shine my best when I have another furry friend to help show me the ropes. Another pup is a must!

KIDS: Not really my speed. I may be able to go to a home with older teens, but I'd prefer an adults-only home.

SPECIAL NOTE: Adopters get to take me on a test-drive to make sure I'm the perfect fit!

NOTE: I am available by appointment only! Please fill out an application to meet me.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
