ABOUT MINI: Mini truly suits her name! She is a petite, sweet, and dainty little lady. Mini was transferred to us from Louisiana as a part of the hurricane disaster response and was the smallest and youngest of the bunch. Having that scary experience as a puppy has left her a bit skittish and shy. Mini has been spending time in foster homes in order to gain confidence and learn that humans and the world around her aren't so scary! She absolutely adores other dogs and turns into a total goofball when she is around them! With the help of her foster homes, Mini went from a dog who wouldn't leave her crate to learning to enjoy some cuddling on the couch and walks outside in quiet areas. Her doggy foster siblings have taught her how to go upstairs and out to the yard. Mini still gets startled easily and so needs a patient family who will give her the time and space she needs to blossom and grow.

HOME NEEDS: Mini will need a house with a securely fenced-in yard since she is still working on building her confidence on walks and can still be scared of the leash. Her home needs to be a calm and quiet environment.

KIDS: Since she is still a shy and nervous gal, Mini will need a home with Adults Only or children ages 12 years and up. She will need to meet any kids in the home before being adopted.

DOGS: Absolutely! Mini thrives with other dogs, so she does require a friendly and playful dog in the home to help her feel comfortable.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future.
