Name: Rambo
ID: 45886377
Breed: German Shepherd / Mix
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: 8 years 11 months
Size: Large
Location: Awaiting Foster
FOSTER REASON: Fospice - that means you get to love me for the rest of my life and the SPCA of Texas will provide all of my care!

ABOUT ME: My name is Rambo and I am a big ol' sweetheart! My favorite things are naps and snacks- I turn into a big goofball if I smell the treats in your pocket! Despite my large size, I'm a pretty gentle guy.

DREAM HOME: Due to my medical condition, I will need a home without stairs. My ideal home would have carpet, or rugs so that I don't slip and slide on hard flooring, and easy access to outdoor areas. My family should also be comfortable giving medications.

DOGS: I will need to be the only pup in the home please!

MEDICAL: I have Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) which is a neurodegenerative condition that affects my spine and causes loss of coordination and progressive paralysis. My Fospice family will need to monitor my mobility and comfort. They should also monitor my weight because I've become quite chunky these days and need to lose drop lbs!

Fill out an application today if you're interested in giving me a loving home for the rest of my days.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
