About Me: My name is Sox, and my friends rescued me from a cruelty case earlier this year. I am a loving, energetic pup that LOVES all treats, but I think I'll love you even more - I can't wait to meet you!

Foster Home: My ideal home would be calm and relaxing while I am undergoing heartworm treatment. Other then that I'm not too picky, but lots of treats would be a bonus!

Dogs: I like other dogs, but I want them to be my size or bigger.

Foster Reason: I am going to start heartworm treatment in January, so I will need a nice calm home to hang out in while I undergo treatment! I am also on an exercise restriction of short leash walks only and no running around for this guy. My foster should be available to bring me to the shelter periodically for my appointments and they should be comfortable giving oral medication if needed.

Foster Length: About two months until I finish my heartworm treatment.

SPECIAL NOTE: While I am not yet ready for adoption, I am eligible for foster-to-adopt.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
