ABOUT ME: Hi! I'm Marlin AKA The Marlin Man. My foster mom says I'm a sweet, sensitive soul! I came to the SPCA of Texas in mid-December as a stray, so the shelter staff don't know much about my background. I was very overwhelmed when I came to the shelter, so I went to live with my foster mom to help me relax. I have opened up and become a very snuggly boy. Couches and beds are my favorite!

DREAM HOME: I would love a calm, quiet home where I can take my time getting to know people. I am shy when I first meet new friends. My leash-walking skills are a work in progress, so I will require a home with a securely-fenced yard. No apartments please!

KIDS: Older kids (15+) in the home might be okay, but an adults-only home would be best. Little ones are too much for me!

DOGS: I don't mind my furry foster brother and sisters! A calm, confident dog would be best for me. Please bring other dogs to meet me.

CATS: One of my furry foster sisters is a cat and I don't have any problems with her at all! Introduce me slowly to kitties.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
