Inky Ash
Name: Inky Ash
ID: 46288814
Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Mix
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: 11 months
Size: Small
Location: McKinney
I came to the SPCA of Texas as part of a cruelty case, it took a bit before I was healthy and ready to be adopted. I'm shy at first but warm up fast especially if you rub my ears. I love pets and purr loudly to show my appreciation. I'd do best in a calm home with a family who will give me time to warm up. Once I'm settled and safe in a forever home I promise I'll make the best kitty ever.

Kids: Older children may be best for me.

Dogs: I'm not sure, if they are calm and give me space I'm willing to try.

Staff Testimonial: I have spent many days caring for Inky and have enjoyed watching her become more confident. She spent her first week hiding, I gave her time and let her become more comfortable. Then one day she surprised me and stuck her head out to be petted. I've never heard a kitty purr louder! Each day she became more confident, rolling on her back for attention. Inky is still shy and I anticipate her adopter will need to give her time so that she can learn to trust them too. She is desperate to be loved and will make a wonderful companion!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
