Heather
Name: Heather
ID: 46425670
Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Mix
Gender: Spayed Female
Age: 2 years 5 months
Size: Small
Location: Awaiting Foster
FOSTER REASON: Trust Building and Socialization - I'm still learning how to approach humans.

ABOUT ME: Hi! I'm demure and quiet Heather. I'm sure you're just itching to boop my cute little pink nose, but I'm not quite ready for that yet! I came to the SPCA in January 2021 after I was rescued from an apartment with 12 other cats! I'm still learning to trust new people and spend a lot of time hanging out in my cat cave. I'd like a quiet, laid back home where I can gain confidence and learn how to trust people. Someone experienced with shy and fearful kitties would be lovely.

CATS: Absolutely! Another friendly cat in the home who I can learn from is a requirement.

KIDS: Ages 12+ please. I'm not ready for cuddles.

SPECIAL NOTE: While I'm not yet available for adoption, I am eligible for foster-to-adopt!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
