Toms Jr
Name: Toms Jr
ID: 46717411
Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Mix
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: 10 years 3 months
Size: Small
Location: Awaiting Foster
About Me: My name is Toms Jr. and boy do I love to talk. I am a very talkative boy, especially around breakfast and dinner time. I also love attention (possibly more than talking). I am sweet, and lovable .

Foster Reason: I have Chronic Kidney Disease, this means my kidneys don't work like they should. My condition is stable for the time being. But I need a foster that can keep a close eye on me and make sure I am still eating like I should be. I will also have to come back to the SPCA once a month for recheck lab work.

Foster Length: I am a fospice kitty, this means you will get to love me the rest of my life while the SPCA takes care of all of my medical needs.

Foster Home: I am not a picky guy. I will need a home where I can be monitored for any decrease in my appetite or vomiting. I would also like to find a home, where my fospice parents are comfortable giving me subcutaneous fluids twice a week. (Don't worry, the SPCA will show you how to do this).

Kids: Sure!

Cats: Sure!

Special Note: I am a Fospice-Kitty, this means you get to love me for the rest of my life while I remain part of the foster program. The SPCA of Texas will provide all of my supplies, medications, and care. It is also an option to foster me temporarily until a forever Fospice can be found.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
