Saffron
Name: Saffron
ID: 47500905
Breed: Domestic Shorthair / Mix
Gender: Neutered Male
Age: 6 years 1 month
Size: Small
Location: Awaiting Foster
About Me: Saffron is the name, and being sweet is my game! I was surrendered to the SPCA due to no fault of my own.

Foster Reason: I am FIV positive and have anemia. I am in need of a foster home until we are able to get my anemia under control. I will need to come back to the SPCA in mid may to have bloodwork done to see how my anemia is.

Foster Length: Until mid may when I have my bloodwork done, or until I am adopted.

Foster Home: My foster home should be a nice calm home that I can relax in. Also a home where my foster can monitor me and make sure I am not having issues due to my FIV and anemia.

Cats: No thank you, I need to be the only cat in the house.

Special Note: While I am not yet available for adoption, I am available for foster-to-adopt. While a foster, the SPCA provides everything I need!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
