Chunky Monkey
No Small Kids
Name: Chunky Monkey
ID: 47622387
Breed: Chihuahua, Short Coat / Mix
Gender: Spayed Female
Age: 7 years 3 months
Size: Small
Location: Awaiting Foster
About Me: I'm Chunky Monkey, and I'm a sweet older gal who came from a neglect case. I'm ready to put the past behind me and find a family who enjoys snuggling on the couch! Movie nights? I'm in!

Foster Reason: I have elevated liver values and I am on daily medication for that. I also have osteoarthritis in my back legs, this can sometimes cause me to limp. I am looking for a foster that feels comfortable giving me daily medications. As well as monitoring me for changes in my eating habits. I will need to be monitored for vomiting and lethargy as well. I am due to come back mid August to re-check lab work.

Foster Length: Until my recheck at the very least, but ideally until I am adopted!

Foster Home: I'll need calm, laidback home with older teens and adults only. I'd like to meet all my future roomies before headed home!

Dogs: Please bring other puppers in the home to meet me to see if we jive.

Special Note: While I am not yet available for adoption, I am available for Foster-To-Adopt

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
