About me: Hi I'm Sara, I came in as a stray through Ellis with 4 other siblings. I am very fearful, and was likely feral prior to being brought in. However I have made a lot of improvement and have been warming up to people once I get to know them better. Fill out an application today to meet me!

DREAM HOME: I'll need a calm and quiet environment as well as a securely fenced yard since I'm still working on my leash confidence.

DOGS: I show a lot of interest in other dogs and get excited to see them! I'll require a friendly and confident dog in the home that I can learn from.

KIDS: No thanks. I want to be the baby!

Medical: My front paws may look a little strange due to a condition called Carpal Laxity Syndrome, where my carpal joints are hyperextended. This is expected to resolve in a few weeks to a few months, as I use my legs more.

Special Note: Eligible applicants get to take me on a test drive through a trial adoption to help ensure we're a paw-fect match!

APPOINTMENT TYPE: Scheduled- complete an online application to meet me!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
