ABOUT ME: Hi, I'm Rowan! I was found as a stray, and was very scared at first. Then I learned that people have yummy treats and I love them now! I get super excited and bouncy when it's time to go outside, but staff are teaching me how to wait and be more patient. I thrive on routine and structure. My ideal home would have patient and calm people who are home more often than not. I've spent time with staff in their offices and do know how to relax and chill while people are working and welcome visitors with wags and kisses. I'm a lap dog and a leaner! Giving kisses and snuggling are my favorite things to do.

HOME: I'd like a calm and quiet environment in a home with a securely 6ft wood fenced yard, but some low traffic apartment-type homes may be considered.

KIDS: Ages 15 and up, please! Everyone in the household needs to meet me before I go home.

DOGS: I may do better in a home with another friendly and confident dog. I've had a playdate with another dog at the shelter and we had a blast running and playing together. I can also be calm and gentle. When other dogs bark at me, I turn the other cheek.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
