Looking for a dog with great house manners? Apollo is house trained, does well when left alone, is non-destructive, knows how to entertain himself, and is a generally quiet and chill dude! He loves treats, sunbathing, belly rubs, chasing squirrels, and cuddling for nap time. Apollo is a very loyal dog and never forgets his friends. Once he's your bud, he's very tolerant of all sorts of handling and has no issues sharing his snacks or toys with you. Like some people, Apollo can struggle with making a good first impression. Apollo is distrustful of strangers and needs a managed introduction and a couple of visits to vet his humans before he'll let them in his Cool Kids Club. Please bring snacks. He even likes vegetables!

IDEAL HOME: Apollo needs a home with adults only and needs to be the only pet in the home. He doesn't mind dogs at a distance, but is not interested in making canine friends - he wants his family all to himself! Apollo needs a home with a private, securely fenced back yard.

SPECIAL NOTE: Adopters get to take Apollo on a trial run before adopting to help ensure a smooth transition into their home.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
