ABOUT ME: I came to SPCA of Texas as part of a cruelty case in October 2019. I was timid and in very bad shape medically, with severe untreated dermatitis and practically no hair! I've come such a long way since then, and I'm looking for a home I can call mine forever.

PERSONALITY: While I can start out shy, once I am comfortable I am a rambunctious, fun loving dog! I love hard and play hard so I will need an adopter who can keep up.

SPECIAL SKILLS: My foster mom said I'm super smart. I know sit, down, leave it, and get it! (my personal fave). I also learned how to use the bells on the door to go outside in just one day! I sometimes use my intelligence for mischief and learned to turn over my slow feeder bowl to get my food faster, so now I eat my food out of snuffle mats and I LOVE them.

DREAM HOME: I'll require a house with a large, private backyard with secured fencing. I'd do best with an active family who are looking for a dog to exercise and play with. I'm kind of a daddy's boy and tend to bond more with men, so hopefully there will be at least 1 male in the home I can look up to. No offense ladies!

MY IDEAL FAMILY: I can get a bit rowdy sometimes so I'm looking for some humans who have experience with large, energetic goofballs like me. They'll need to help me with my manners and how to play appropriately. Due to this, I'll require an adult only household.

DOGS: No thanks, I'm all the dog you need!

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
