ABOUT ME: Hi I'm Emmeline, a tiny pittie mix weighing about 40 lbs. I came to the SPCA of Texas in October of 2019 when I was found with no access to food, water, or shelter. I was understandably very fearful when I arrived at the shelter- I spent most of my time cowering in a corner. Thankfully, I found a loving foster home to help me learn to trust.

PERSONALITY: My foster mom describes me as sweet and spunky! Once I'm comfortable with you, I like to wake my humans up with kisses and cuddles. I absolutely ADORE my foster dad and love hanging out with him. If he's on the couch, I'm usually snuggled up right next to him or laying on his lap. I'm still pretty skittish in general and I even startle myself sometimes, but I feel confident enough to share my opinions with my foster parents when I have something to say!

DOGS: I'll need at least one dog my size in the home, but I definitely wouldn't mind a whole pack to play with! I love roughhousing with my foster siblings.

MY DREAM ADOPTER: Will be very patient and willing to take things very slow with my while I adjust to my new surroundings. Ideally, my family will have experience with fearful rescues since my rehabilitation is an ongoing process! I'm looking for parents who will want to continue this journey with me.

HOUSING: I'll need a calm, quiet home with adults only please. My house should have a private, securely fenced in yard, as I have not progressed enough to walk on leash.

SPECIAL NOTE: Potential adopters get to take me on a test drive by doing a trial adoption! Fill out an inquiry form today for more information.

The SPCA of Texas completes rigorous medical and behavioral testing on every animal in our care. The organization fully discloses all known medical and/or behavioral conditions, including any incidents of biting or violent behavior toward a human, to all adopters and fosters. Despite the rigorous testing our veterinary and behavioral professionals conduct throughout every animal’s stay in our facilities, other new and/or unknown medical and/or behavioral conditions may manifest in any animal at any time. By adopting or fostering an animal from the SPCA of Texas, adopters and fosters acknowledge at the time of adoption or fostering that they may receive an animal with an undetected medical and/or behavioral condition and/or that a new medical and/or behavioral condition may appear at any time in the future. Any pet adopted from the SPCA of Texas can be returned to us at any time for any reason at no cost.
