ABOUT ME: Misty came to the SPCA of Texas in a case with about 20 other dogs in January of 2020. They were unsocialized with people and very fearful. Thanks to the hard work of staff, Misty and her friends have come a long way! Misty now comes up for treats and some petting and enjoys walks on leash in familiar, quiet areas. She's made enough progress that she's now ready for home of her own! She's still shy and easily scared by loud noises, but is a sweet dog who is ready to blossom with the right family.

DREAM HOME: Misty will need a calm, quiet space - preferably a house with a securely fenced yard, but a low traffic apartment on the first floor may work out with the right environment. Due to her timid nature, Misty needs a home with adults only or kids over 10 years of age. Everyone in the household will need to meet Misty prior to taking her home.

DOGS: Misty may thrive in a home with a calm, confident dog to show her the ropes. She isn't the type to rough house and romp around, so any dogs in the home will need to meet her before going home to ensure a good match.

SPECIAL NOTE: You get to take Misty on a trial run before making the adoption official! Staff will provide training advice and support to help Misty adjust to a new home.
