LEARN MORE
The SPCA of Texas partners with Dallas County to provide stray hold services for pets in unincorporated areas of the county. The below pets are currently under stray hold with the SPCA of Texas. If they are not claimed by their owners within 72 hours (3 days), they will be evaluated for placement or adoption. As always, the SPCA of Texas does not euthanize for time or space. For more information about the SPCA of Texas' policies, check out our FAQ.

If you believe any of the below animals to be yours, please contact us at 214-742-7722 or email us at spca@spca.org. Please note that there is a $50 reclaim fee and we require that all pets be spayed or neutered before they are reclaimed.

Alert: We recommend you switch over to landscape mode for optimal viewing of this website.

In an effort to reduce the potential for COVID-19 to spread to more people via gatherings of people and protect the health and well-being of the animals in our care, our staff and volunteers, as well as our community, the SPCA of Texas is closing our shelters, clinics, mobile adoption and mobile wellness events to the public starting Wednesday, March 18 through at least Sunday, April 5.

We will continue to offer adoptions on an appointment basis, as we continue to have many wonderful animals in need of new homes. Customers are allowed to meet up to three animals per appointment.

Please visit spca.org/dogadopt to make an appointment to meet a dog or spca.org/catadopt to make an appointment to meet a cat.
